1. Check Your Activation Status
- Open Settings:
- Press
Win + I.
- Press
- Go to System > Activation.
- Check your activation status:
- Active: No further action needed.
- Inactive: Proceed to activate.
2. Find Your Activation Method
Digital License:
- Linked to your Microsoft account.
- Obtained if you upgraded from a genuine Windows 10 or purchased Windows 11 digitally.
Product Key:
- A 25-character code from:
- Physical packaging.
- Confirmation email (for online purchases).
- Sticker on your device (for preinstalled Windows).
3. Activate Windows 11 Using a Product Key
- Open Settings > System > Activation.
- Click Change product key.
- Enter your 25-character product key and click Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.
4. Activate Windows 11 Using a Digital License
- Ensure you’re signed in to your Microsoft account linked to the license.
- Go to Settings > System > Activation.
- If Windows is not activated:
- Click Troubleshoot.
- Select I recently changed hardware if applicable.
- Follow the prompts to activate using your linked account.
5. Activate via Command Prompt (Optional)
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
- Press
Win + S, type “cmd”, right-click, and select Run as Administrator.
- Press
- Use the following commands:
- Install the product key:cmd
slmgr /ipk <Your-Product-Key> - Activate Windows online:cmd
slmgr /ato - Check activation status:cmd
slmgr /xpr

6. Activation Troubleshooting
If activation fails:
- Go to Settings > System > Activation > Troubleshoot.
- Follow the prompts to fix activation issues.
